Cabbages and Condoms

hahaha found this when i stumbled upon a thai teochiu lady's blog!! its a chain of restaurants in thailand called 'Cabbages and Condoms' GAHAHA delightfully random!! anyway they are aimed at controlling aids and population numbers or something in thailand.. and they offer condoms after dinner instead of mints.. hahaha.. it seems to be a bit like Nandos.. in that the restaurants have condom themes on the walls and stuff.. heheeh LETS GO TO THAILAND.

or maybe cambodia.. i know ive told a lot of my friends this.. about Happy Herbs Pizza in Phnom Penh (camboland's capital).. well yes.. they really do have 'happy herbs' on their pizzas.. and apparently the name also comes from Herb, who was the original owner.. and he was always 'happy' no doubt because he ate his own pizzas.. but thats another story. ANYWAY at Happy Herbs Pizza you can request a 'happy pizza' or a 'happy happy pizza' or a 'super happy pizza' and they will put just the right amount of 'happy herbs' on it for you.. which will leave you laughing for the rest of the day.. or at least will put a smile on your dial.. for a little while. IT RHYMES!! IM A GENIUS. im a poet and i didnt know it. ha, ha, ha =\

apparently happy herbs (marijuana, for those idiots who havent worked it out yet) have long been a part of the cambodian culinary tradition.. my mum told me that restaurants used to put it in their soups to make customers come back for more.. and more.. haha she said one restaurant got her hooked once. HAHA NO MY MOTHER IS NOT A DRUGGIE. and i heard other stories from people who said their parents told them how they put it in their soup and they would laugh and laugh for hours after eating it. GAHAH i can just imagine. cambos sitting in the village laughing for no reason. hilarious. god bless cambodia. and its marijuana. BAHAH!!!
