resurrection

you knew it was coming. or maybe you had given up hope and thought 'oh man. this blog is dead.. what am i going to do with my sad little life now?' haha okay maybe you didn't think that. in any case this is my first post in over a month..

so welcome back to me. and maybe there's still someone out there who keeps checking my blog for updates and so will be very surprised to be reading this right now. thank you to that person for your dedication and perseverance =] if you exist. lol. WAIT I KNOW THAT YOU DO. TRACY. looooooooool.

SHOUTOUT TO MY PHARMACY PRACTICE LAB PARTNER TRACY =]

who has told me to update my blog. several times. hahaha.. this one's for you, bac si. so really i shouldn't be updating now of all times because i have exams coming up on friday and i suppose you could say i am a bit screwed. think i'm going to go buy a duck and some fruit and do some hardcore praying before friday.. hoping that divine intervention will help me get through/pass. you know, for someone whose life is based almost exclusively on science, i am one really superstitious mofo. i mean, if you made a device that somehow measured 'good luck attracting concentration' you would find that my room would make such a machine explode. there are so many good luck charms and things in my room its just.. i dunno. just a lot of superstitious things that may or may not work. but when good things happen i tend to believe more. lol i know its blind faith and that blind faith is a bad thing.. especially since Buddhism teaches us to question and not accept things as gospel... but if lucky charms don't work, then i haven't really lost anything by having them. i haven't gained anything either, but i haven't lost anything. so it's okay.

so anyway enough with the mystical mumbo jumbo. i could go on all day about religion/beliefs/superstition if you let me. but now i want to talk about how much kids stink.

yes. we all know that i work as a maths tutor. and the youngest kids i teach are in about grade 3. the oldest about yr 10. SO. some kids just really stink. like not just with maths.. some kids stink with maths yes, but some kids literally smell like random things which are weird. like i have this one girl who smells musky and her nails are dirty and its like ahem do you wash or wear like deodorant? and then theres another girl who smells like tomato sauce and bo. and then surprise surprise i meet the parent and THE PARENT SMELLS THE SAME and im like ooooooooooooooooooookay. and some kids have bad breath. and its just like.. ARRH it says in the tutor's manual that we should maintain a high level of personal hygiene at all times because of the close proximity with which we deal with students. and i think.. why can't there be a standard like that for the freakin kids.. just like take a freakin shower yo.

i remember when i was a kid i used to hate taking baths/showers. i was just so lazy and i cbf all the time. i didnt know why my mum kept forcing me to have a shower. but then something happens to you when you to around gr6 or yr 7. i think puberty. lol. and then suddenly you have to wash yourself every 5 minutes and you spend an hour in the bathroom. these days i have a shower twice a day and i cant imagine NOT showering before i go to bed. call me an ocd neat freak.. which i admit to being anyway, so it doesn't bother me.. but being clean is like one of my 'things'. dirty hair and nails really turns me off. like i will walk away from you quietly, but in my mind i will be running around in circles and screaming at the dirt and filth that is writhing all over your infested, unpure body. hahah ooh thats descriptive. dirtiness breeds dirtiness and cleanliness breeds cleanliness. SO BE CLEAN DAMMIT OR I WILL NOT BE YOUR FRIEND. i think this ocdness will actually be good for my career as a pharmacist though. at least you know your medicines won't be contaminated. not by me anyway. and that everything will be measured as accurately as possible because i'm a die-hard perfectionist.

okay that's enough random mental diarrhoea for now. i'll probably be updating this a lot more in the coming weeks as my exams finish and i have a couple of spare weeks to waste. i love how theres no holiday hw at uni =] at least none that i know of.
